Amazon. Com Review Better than any book I can think, White Noise captures the strangeness of life, especially in a time when humanity has finally learned enough to kill. Obviously it is a very funny book, and the prose is as beautiful as a sunset in a sky filled with particles. Narrator Jack Gladney teaches Nice Guy Hitler studies at a small university. His wife, a drug that increases anxiety, and one day at a nearby chemical plant accidentally releases a cloud of gas that can be toxic. Written before Bhopal and Prozac in popular lexicon, DeLillo produced a work so closely in line with the times, he tells the future. . . . More>>

First, I do not understand why many people think that this book is very good. It was recommended to me as I, this list of books to get ready to read for college courses, I am, white noise was one of them. After reading all the positive reviews I thought it would be nice. How wrong I was. At the beginning there were these talks redundant, as on page 22: “Look at the windshield, is that it is not busy or ?”…” Just because it” is the radio does not mean we have the faith exposed to our senses …. “Is it raining or is it not?” “I would not say.” “And if someone has a gun to your head?” “Who are you?” “Someone. A man in a raincoat and sunglasses. He has a gun holds his head and said:” Is it raining or is it not? All you have to do is to tell the truth and I will keep my gun and take the next flight here. “” What do they want the truth? Will he travels the truth from someone with the speed of light in another galaxy? Does he want the truth, someone in the orbit of a neutron star? Perhaps if these people were able to see through a telescope, we could see each 2′2 “tall and it might rain yesterday instead of today. “He holds the gun to the head. It you want the truth.” “What’s My Truth? What if this guy comes from a planet in a solar system different …”" His name is Frank J. and Smalley, he comes to St. Louis. “He wants to know if it is raining now, at this moment?” here and now. It is true. “Is there such a thing now?” Now come and go, “and as soon as you say. How can I say it now if you rain your so-called ‘now’ is ‘then’ when I say it? “If I had the book with this kind of collection, long conversations filled realized I have not read first. This conversation should annoyed between the main character, Jack and his fourteen years old, his son Heinrich.Ce book moved me to tears, until the 38th chapter. Too much things that get little or nothing to do with the plot, which focuses on the obsession to do with the family of death. They are so afraid, they are not even alive! your life is boring! wife Babette Jack his hand some anti-anxiety drugs and takes, even if it is aware of the dangerous side effects. On the other hand, she sleeps with a man she “Mr. Gray and the rest of the novel Jack is looking for more information about the shady character. Overall, I hated the book with passion. Now that you are informed with some of the content of the book, I hope you can choose whether you are still interested or not. Rating: 5.1
This book was incredible, those of you who get it, awesome, think we all on the same level, for those who may be the problem because, as you are too caught up in the pop-culture, this book about so much to realize that this book is a slap in the face of you. Maybe you should let go of these “truths” about the life that you think eventually, over time and realize that it stop more so narrow-minded. I think DeLillo does not have the ugly truth of our society on the scene and some of you been able to finish. Do not be angry with the book, some parts can be redundant, but you hear how you sometimes make a call? I’m willing to bet that you will be shocked when you hear something that is very similar to the book discussions. . . Rating: 5.5
tell DeLillo has been touted since the novel was published. Redundant fragment uncomphrehensable descriptions, and false, which is controlled by their ideas illiterate of the dreaded “conspiracy”. DeLillo attempt to diminish the literature, and humanity is rented, which makes it all the more ironic and ultimatley pathedic a sign of the power of advertising. Rating: 5.1
DeLillo has unintentionally managed the perfect quick fix for the Cabin Fever OCD. This is the complete and total rubbish! Even as the seemingly only slightly ironic White Noise can not express how young and immature these 300 + pages are souvent.Même when taking into account the sovereign at the time of publication in mid 1980 and the technique apparently dates now use references unamusing / the stuff and is often silly. The mucus self-appointed literary pillock claim that DeLillo “early” in an age of Internet and media, etc. are just shameless morons servile.Sans surprise again, like lemmings proud literature – probably about Liberal – Freaks tribes have a diluted literary honor, give useless concoction unclaimed beyond execrable is banded. Fortunately DeLillo goes too fast to lose that reader free ridiculous nonsense that dementia is returned immediately. The cartoon characters are about as credible as the bubble Biden has in foreign policy. This excruciatingly boring literary (as if?) Experience is like a prolonged painful decided Cliche spitting Barak Hussein Obama campaign with a rally lack of insight, such as. With absolutely nothing to the viewer, but unhappy, almost empty anal dullardish navel gazing and tortuous, entangled in all regular, almost harassing Flintstonesque Fred postmodern with the depth of a vomit party Hannah Montana.Les South Parkesque ALL characters are quite nasty, and often quite stupid with the exception of fine chemicals sniffing German shepherds – who at least some resonance of the plot. DeLillo creations could easily all die horribly on a single page, without in any way approaching this shit ruining often pompous. The plot is almost non-existent in absorbing all the wisdom and board bite of a species itself (after all these years), young Jackson Browne song. Write the reader’s nothing in the way of feeding all intellectual vomit gauze thin veneer of science in a city in west-central non-generic descriptions. The endless repetition and seemingly relentless sectors swollen prose throughout the book compels even the most patient, more worried for the reader skimming DeLillo begins feverishly. I often found myself hoping the Elvis obsessed teacher and the teacher rounded woman who had allegedly nationally acclaimed Hitler inexorably water in Niagara Falls geddit (DeLillo ???). The absurd, sorry excuse of a boarded end is weaker and poorly written that has worst (smile) are still committed to my fellow Brit and Nick Hornby at least the excuse of a fan irrefutable Arse-nal. The two sopranos and Anne of Green Gables DeLillo learn a lot about alignment, characterization, pace, and staging, etc., but would still ultra Donald.banal Micky and the author unimaginative obsessed with death and dying, and his mild, is the treatment more clichés rather irritating after the first five (percent) cases. There is really no way to make it even worse than recommend new miserable. Other than as a study of real life, as with great cynicism flatter the proposed way back in post-modern literary freak heaven. Penguin should be deeply, deeply ashamed to think, this is one of the great books of the 20th Century. ZERO STARS! Rating: 5.1
