Provocative Pearl is the second in a row, but would stand alone very well. Wonderful characters, Engaging plot, beautiful writing. One thing I like Madeline Hunter is that the dialogue, attitudes and actions of the characters do not seem completely wrong for the period temps.Verity fled on his wedding day two years ago. Her husband, Hawkeswell, found her when she can be declared dead. She hopes to provide for the dissolution of the marriage and return to his old home. He must be lucky to make his country again and found it very attracted to her. We note that both Verity and Hawkeswell secrets and goals of their marriage. Like all books, M.
