In this cycle of the career of a blogger, is a book that Anne had to write, but not his best work. I prefer Joe Jones birds imperfect – and critics who slam. All are new and non-fiction memoirs my favorites. Rating: 5.2
Anne gives us a further insight into the modern American family, although in the region are living baie.Les characters easy to identify – a real easy-going hippies in California – and the story is plausible, but not as cool as supply fictitious past Ms. Lamott. Rating: 5.4
Parents of young people and Lamott fans will probably find this book compelling reading. Birds imperfect to be his best novel, the most sophisticated and well built. The story seems to meander at times but it relies on itself to form a powerful and moving end. The achievements of family life with his then mirrors anecdotal narrative flow from day to day, suddenly, that the people have changed radically under the nose – it was all done gradually long.Lamott has a unique ability to inhabit his characters’ emotional states. His account of the inner life of a teenager is original and illuminating. Her role as mother of the girl, the one familiar character in fiction Lamott, but less narcissistic and more aware of the time. In order to fully reveal the inner workings of his characters, writing style has become Lamott creative and original than ever before. But he needs more time to edit. Ironically, his publishers Thank Lamott in her thanks, but the handling was poor biggest mistake in the book. There were several sets seemd revised, but not cleaned then an adjective can be repeated twice, or is missing a verb. The lack of clarity is not a mere mention of a Druggy or anxious mood, it seemed to be a lack of final polishing of different places – including the first paragraphs of the book, a description awkwardly incomprehensible parking. But do not let the first of those paragraphs discouraged because of the next page, the story gripping as scary and strange behavior of a group of young people are finding the place of the city. The looks Birds Imperfect bottom line is intense and moving. The story is deeply disturbing from beginning to end. At first sight the use of drugs by students hard to believe. But Lamott a masterful job of painting a textured reality that can happen in everything, even the honest people. Imperfect Birds is an important signal not only for families in Marin County, but the United States – the United States, which consumes more drugs than any other country in the world. (San Francisco Chronicle (4/10/10). Rating: 5.5
This attempt annoying trying to convey the pain and grief of the parents of a teenager on drugs, has been totally uninteresting. Those who are a much deeper story and a source of inspiration of the same type of scenario should want to read “Comeback” by Claire Fontaine and Mia instead. Rating: 5.1
If you are at all familiar with a non-fiction books by Anne Lamott, this novel has a very familiar sound. It deals with the addiction issues, recreation, spirituality, 12 step programs and empowerment. The novel is about Rosie, a 17-year-old girl who has her parents wrapped around his finger. It is difficult in drugs, but his parents are on the scope of his drug use, cheating on his urine and a great manipulator and excellent triangulation. Her mother, Elizabeth, and her stepfather James were at the end of their minds. Rosie’s father, Andrew, died when she was young enfant.Elizabeth is an alcoholic who has two years time, cleaning. She has a feeling of emptiness and never felt any since the death of Andrew. His difficult relationship with Rosie, she feels fragile and distrustful of their own intuition. James is very grounded and Elizabeth are trying to rely more secure in its borders with Rosie and his instincts, not to a large résultat.Rosie has two best friends, Alice and Jodie. When the book opens, Jodie has just completed three months in a rehab center. They are using all three drugs are sexually active and sex and sometimes drugs. Do not use condoms and do not seem aware of the dangers of unprotected sex is not working protégés.Elizabeth. She and her family live near Marin County. James has a weekly program on National Public Radio and published a novel. Elizabeth is jealous of the success of James’s with his new radio show. Until that moment when she his muse, and feels lost, its place in the fragile family. Marital stress is at an all time high, because Rosie is lying, fractionation and manipulation. Elizabeth is in particular very favorable behavior Rosie.Le book describes a set of recovery and there is plenty to talk centered spirituality. Elizabeth’s best friends are ministers and they are the ones that Rosie is referred to the Council. Elizabeth, James, and her friends all used to drink all year and all are in recovery. Elizabeth is active in Alcoholics Anonymous. It also suffers from depression and takes medication for his problems psychiatriques.Rosie tests Jame’s and Elizabeth’s limits. She broke the curfew and slipped out of the house in the middle of the night, Elizabeth asked to withhold information from James, and is usually found in steals, and he is rude, sarcastic and disrespectful both Elizabeth and James. It is a great girl and have a body that reads as Robertson Davies and Maria Rilke. Despite her intelligence, she has little or no insight into the extent of their problems fond.Le Paper is to show excellent work, the limitations and difficulties posed by which the abuse of drugs among young people. Too much spirituality in the novel for my taste, but in a book written by Roman Lamott.Le expects a very good showing, the grip of addiction, the pain it causes families and tribes, causes for the family and marital relations. Lamott is the perfect writer to tackle a subject like this, a subject that is painful, terrifying and life-threatening. It is a good book, one that all parents take advantage of. Rating: 5.4
