I think this is a very important book to read for everyone – men, women, youth and older. It is a story of tremendous courage, strength and stamina of a young girl, something about the fact that she decides to do a man older than 10 years married. It provides an overview of what they say, as some women in countries where women can be children and have no voice. In 2010, child marriage exists in many parts of the world, and as in the culture, history, social norms, etc. It takes a lot of action and change on the part of individuals, the roots of country and gov’t to change it . You get the feeling this book because it was realized the helplessness of the little girl. Would help anyone. All closed their eyes and said it would bring them shame by her husband is abusing her confidence. The book really opens your eyes to the limited power of a child, especially a girl, in this particular region of the world. I liked hearing the book, about where this courageous woman. What I found disappointing is the lack of details. There were points where I wanted to learn more. I had so many questions, but they went unanswered. Also, I wanted more description of the places, people, the personalities of those involved. I also wanted to hear more “Nujood’s voice.” That may seem strange, since the book it is, but I think the co-author worked with the best materials, in some situations – probably had a challenging job to take in this young, a story for children, young and also extend it in a book. For as in 10 or 11 years, she was able to relay their story, as best they could to co-author, which made the task of a descriptive and narrative. So I can not really blame the title was too expensive for them. However, if you think that this book is more of a descriptive, poetic book that draws you into finessed in writing – that is not accurate. But in a sense it is more than that – because that is the heart and in its simplicity, is the story of this incredible strong young woman. Rating: 3 / 5
This is a very readable accounts and short life of 10-year-old Nujood of Yemen Ali, an illegal practice, divorced, married a common man, but many times her age, then let herself as she authorities. This law women have inspired other children, their freedom, and drew attention internationale.L one of the strengths of this book is childish Bujood from this perspective and shines in the light of history. In fact, he is told from his perspective, and it is very well done. Unfortunately, this is probably largely responsible for what in my opinion the biggest weakness of livre.A less than 180 pages appear in this book is sometimes a little superficial. In fact, we are less than 120 pages of the book Nujood where the divorce is completed. And he was always alternating between the “present” when they divorce, and the continuation of the past that has meant. Between the two there is a bit difficult to connect with the script in touch. His experience was certainly frightening, but because of these problems, it seemed rather abstract and distance.Le book includes a brief epilogue to an adult who tries to solve this problem and provide the historical, legal, medical type flaw in the narrative, but a brief retrospect, not a substantial part of the book. I liked a few more details about the exact prevalence of this type of action, the inherent physical problems, why they occur, Nujood culture, etc. I think that would be a part of the book, much longue.Je Clock is pleased to copies of a reader tip received. I was not aware of the common problem of child brides in some countries. But with the above shortcomings, I would not recommend out of the way and others are disappointed if I had bought. I give this 3rd 5 stars, I’ll up to 3.Rating: 3 / 5
How incredibly brave little girl. The story is as old as Islam and the Koran, and it is probably not as long as that religion is barbaric, to change, but the story Nujood is a moving and a testament to the strength and good luck to the girl. What made for a sympathy and outrage for a girl at this age of its kind on the level with Hillary Clinton and Condoleezza Rice! What a slap in the face to her and her story. Hillary and Condi are not able to sit with this girl, let alone be honored as égal.Ceci is a great book for all women to read and a must for the Libs in America. I hope this is a wake up call for everyone. Rating: 5 / 5
This little book tells the true story of 10-year-old daughter, married in Yemen, defied tradition and obtained a divorce. Its history has the public interest around the world and this little book that is generated only 188 pages, tells his story in detail. It absolutely fascinates me, and I was reading a séance.L author makes history alive and I am completely with this courageous child, thrown into a terrible situation identified. His family, however, were not monsters. They were in a difficult situation, and she has the best they could to protect her honor. Nujood was a figure in a culture, the nature of the abuse that she was forced to create bear to. The miracle is that they escaped. There is a glimmer of hope. Already, there has been a change in the consciousness of the world. And this book is certainly a part of this mouvement.Le book is well written. The author brings the reality of life in Yemen for the rest of the world. Immediately I was caught in a conflict. Yes, I was horrified, but mostly I was pleasantly surprised at the courage of the young girl. Read and learn. And to inspirés.Rating: 5 / 5
This story tugged at my heart strings, and even gave me a new perspective in my worldview. The main character, Nujood, has a great job of describing his life from his own point of view of young people with vocabulary was ten years old. I wanted to know what happened, and quickly came to the end of the happy ending that I knew inévitable.En as an American, I am immune to these fears into other cultures find d for women, and I am happy that I am the opportunity broaden my perspective and so touching personnelle.Je had me wondering what is age appropriate for this book. Junior high students probably understand (hopefully) innocent Nujood to what is meant when they filled their nights with horror, saying: “Thunder and Lightning” that her husband abused described. I think, 9 Graders are the youngest, who found benefit from the story and the questions were on the back of an interesting way to help students understand the differences and the freedoms that we provided in our own country. A good quick read that you can remember Nujood long after you have turned off the last page.Sra. GoseMère five children, teachers, AuthorFlip Flop Spanish Rating: 4 / 5
