I think this is a romantic thriller. The fact that Vince and Anne did not respond to P. 152 is a good indication that the novel aspect is not really important. I must say that I and people like Lucky Doucet Jack Boudreau (Hoag’s characters miss his earlier works.) So, there is little romance and a number of unpleasant characters distorted and some pretty terrible murder. This represents a total lack of hope in it. In fact, the book ends with Ms. Crane flies with his son, who expect a lot of good can come to him. It seems that, overall, the book is a downer. Rating: 3 / 5

The scenario is fast from the time Tommy stay on the head of the victim for most of the buried and not slow down until the climax in a hospital room and a ride on the Interstate. I always loved Hoag Novels by year, type of reading light in category thriller.Celui did not work. I think his ambition, something beyond his capacity. This novel about the hunt for a serial killer in a small town on the coast of Southern California in the mid-1980s, and it seems Hoag also trying to capture the mood of the time and place with only mixed success. First, there are anachronisms clunk that appear strange, and very entertaining, especially for someone like me who currently lives in the region. For example, it refers to the lighted pylons at the entrance to the Century Boulevard to the airport in Los Angeles if they do not exist in reality until much later in the year 2000.Sa EXurban representation of the life of the times it does not ring quite true. I come from, if I have a family at that time in an environment that is almost exactly as it attempts to describe the story, frankly, if it is not an “Ozzie and Harriet” time does not, of course, it was with people both dysfunctional populated as we see in this book. This is just a part of the problem with the book: the characters are not fully realized. You are a cartoonist bits.Ma guess is that one reason for the time will be removed for forensic modern history, but I do not know how much it has on the line of site would be affected. This thriller had many shortcomings and has never been more authentic. It was a total lack of activity of the character – you never had a sense of unique character, which makes it difficult to act on that slow care. The author seems to have ADD, jumping from scene to scene and never a strong narrative. Very annoying, I could not bring to an end. . . Rating: 2 / 5
