This is an excellent first draft if presented to a publisher who has the potential to be great with some editing of the religious obsession of the author. Clearly the author is really what she believes in, but when you buy a novel you want it to be credible. The characters that make up this city all be obsessed with religion is not only a company town located on the face of this planet and are not credible for a novel. It matters not what interests the author, hobbies, beliefs or other characteristics are, they must be able to put their books in the real world, not only their ideal. If the townspeople had been more realistic, then it would have been a sensational novel. The basics are there, somehow this slipped into the editor, without seeing it. Having snuck through the results in its current form in the bad books notation.Il parcel is the basic quality of religious fanatics who run a home for rehabilitation ex cons are murdered in fighting tips premises who want the place closed. Evidence points to the husband (Jonathan Cleary) of a daughter (Morgan). The husband suspected an ex-con named Gus, but the husband is behind bars. The head of the religious police suspects and everyone seems more concerned with girls than solving the case. However, a teenager fleeing Sadie has fled her abusive stepfather and comes to Cape Refuge.Le main problem of this book is that religion is rammed down the throat of the reader at every opportunity. Each character in the book says, some time, I’ll pray for you, or a scene where they really pray. One or two people would be likely, but a whole town, come on. The plan of God is mentioned by most people and they all try to convert other sister Blair, who does not believe in their faith to improve its behavior. Obviously you can understand what the author was the case here. It’s a real shame the author can not separate his fantasy world to real. You should be able to pick up a novel written by a Christian, one Jewish, atheist, Hindu, Muslim or otherwise, without them constantly cramming religion down the throat. If you want that you can buy the bible fiction or biblical character. This was a great book, but setting unrealistic, it is not too good. The author may need to leave a little in the real world and meet people in other social situations that church. The publisher needs to do their job as well. Like I said, I do not what religion is an author, I do not discriminate WHO I read. It has a good foundation, and with more realistic characters representing the widest range of each society today and it would be a great read. At the very least, a warning of the religious obsession of the author should be placed on the cover, so that readers are aware of the obsession, before they choose the book to the shelf and part of their hard gagné.Rating: 2 / 5
It really should be a warning on the back of the book’s description did not prepare the reader for the incessant preaching. What should have been a decent mystery is completely ruined by the inclusion of religion in almost every sentence. If Blackstock wants his books to reach a wider audience, then it needs to alleviate the lot. If it is satisfied to preach to the choir, “then it does the job well because these books will never be successful in the real world. Rating: 1 / 5
This book really begins slowly and gets faster, then slower and even slower. okay i read a page 560 in three days and I read this book in a month. the only reason I liked was he pulled his car to the end. I wish the book could be like the end but it was not. Newpoint I have a 911 series that I hope will be much better. Let’s just say I will not read the 2 one just waiting to be entertained by the end.
