Buy this book for her book about the culture ant – about 70 pages in all. The story around him is tepid and uninteresting, but perhaps we should not expect that the skills of a writer of a naturalist. Rating: 5.4
Parts of the book dealing with the country are excellent, and almost certainly more accessible science writing that I read. That is, awkwardly the whole story about the history Raff, especially his time at Harvard and then, was and fell. The author should be decided whether Anthill was a book about the ecosystem of the lower Alabama, grows about a child in this environment. Rating: 5.3
Professor Emeritus EO Wilson Nuster be the best teacher at Harvard Geosciences! He said that all scientists to do: learn from the science of writing, makes science is to explain a compréhensible.Fourmilière fascinationg IMPORTANT.When novel and get to the chapter on the ant like science fiction, but that’s what we need to know about our planète.J hope that someone buy the rights and make a film as good as Avatar, and with an equally important message of our time on this terre.Espérons that our time not as the age of Stupid.Lire fiction and truth of the ant hill will be remembered Rating: 5.5
“The cycles of other species may be destroyed and damaged the biosphere. But with every step that we our case are not neglected to pay at the end of a price welcome – always” I just ant hill, especially in Alabama, and set U hole twice the opportunity to Pulitzer Prize-winning novelist and the first time in 81 years, EO Wilson.âges pre-order it arrived there on Monday and my Kindle was encouraging enough that it took 48 hours less to read. If I for release in Australia in June had waited, my favorite bookstore in Sydney, I would have left $ 32nd 95 (+ shipping costs) instead of $ 11. 99 paid for the Kindle Edition. The old publishing model is obviously not only ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly at the same time indésirables.Structuré is in six sections, the number of legs of an ant, the story opens up a little bit disappointing, in fact, it was very boring and reminded me of a novel many teenagers simplistic themes of youthful identity. Quarter of the way in the novel recall (me of the Kindle is no page numbers, but in percentage), it was kind of like a contemporary history of war and not my cup of tea at all. Then everything changé.Les Chronicles anthill, the middle section of the novel, the most interesting and involvement on several levels, and I wish there was more of him. Wilson, in appreciation, says he intends to “put the lives of these insects, as close as possible from the perspective of the ants.” There are decent prose and explores the environment that Wilson knows more intimately than any of us. It is an entirely believable world that Wilson, a place where the ants will be reconstructed in the colony starting point “just plain and entire possession of the same odor”: “His appearance, his silence meant nothing. The Queen would be on his back, legs firmly slept in the air. It could have become red, black, metallic gold, or any other color or shade – it would have not identified. The queen had the feeling to be classified as dead, dead. “Wilson, the world of ants Born weaves his story in many ways parallels with the social stratification of society as Raphael Semmes Cody. As Raff, the protagonist learns that “the weaknesses of these ants … are men, written in a simple” grammar. “Margaret Atwood has impressed by the novel and makes some interesting observations about the parallels with the classics, especially Homer. Atwood pointed out that some of the writing is clumsy and moralizing, it is right now, I read the quote with open, taken from the prologue. However, it is perhaps understandable that wants to engage in Wilson for a wider audience with his ideas, while long service life. Wilson fiction writings are not important and anthills, a compendium of his work, has a frightening message for us all, I read that it is historically and ecologically, we are doomed, even if we have luck and the management of resources to maintain our civilization and, perhaps even revered, our mutual dependence, “Ants stirred ran through the halls and galleries of the nest without particular. The colony was not yet known, the ultimate meaning of his humor and his actions, but he was instinctively for a finishing move, a final, almost suicidal response that could save some of their members to be ready. The only option they had was a burst of air outdoors, even every ant. ‘Re lucky few survivors could then go and re-start the colony elsewhere. That is, if they have a real queen. But of course they had insufficient soldier Reine.Lamentation and hope mingled among the people starting point. The ants are a people in a city under siege sentenced. The unity of purpose was gone, their equipment social order. No search of food, no cleaning and feeding larvae, collect no queen for her. The order of the colony was disbanded. There are unbending and expectation was hated dirty streamside unformicid. Finally. Trailheaders all the terrorist knew, and, the existence of a choice – fight or run you out of the horror, it was not another left in its collective memory. “Strangely enough, though this pessimism, I found the novel more enjoyable and recommend it without too many reservations. The resolution is clean, too clean, but imagine not intended to Wilson to find a practical solution fourmilières.Note for many of the everyday concerns of our environment 5.3
