Liz Chambers feels like it holds everything together. Husband Jonathan is too quiet and passive, it is the mind behind the school grow and they bought recently. Daughter Alice is withdrawn and sullen. Did she do anything? How was she to know that their funding has helped finance his dream of a school, the Silchester Tutorial College jeopardize their homes? . Faced with the loss of her home, Liz was able to rent the house and has moved three of them in the residence at the school. Ginny and Piers Prentice need a fresh start. Ginny is employed as a sole bread winner of the family, while her husband, Piers Research Deploy next big catapult him to stardom made. They had a small taste of fame when Piers was. It feels away from London alleviate the pressure on both. Find the home of Silchester is the answer. These families intersect with unexpected consequences. Madeline Wickham (aka Sophie Kinsella known) has a different history of morals and manners. As the reader learns to weave this life and perceptions are not reality. This book was published in the United Kingdom in the mid-1990s, but the dialogue is sharp and biting. Although some of those signs of unbearable Wickham succeeds in promoting the reader’s sympathy. A great summer read. Rating: 5.4

It is a great read – Madeleine Wickham at his best thinking – but not to deceive, it was a new book. I read years ago. Rating: 5.4

I read all the books written by Madeleine Wickham, the United States and all the books of Mrs. Wickham left side, under the name Sophie Kinsella. I enjoyed them all, but I do not think it “a desirable residence” at the height of other books. It took me more than a week to read this novel and it took me much time to read one of his books. The story was simply not convincing, and no characters were enjoyable to read. In fact, apart from Jonathan, I found that the characters are rather antipathiques.Liz and Jonathan bought a tutorial school, but not yet sold their old house, and they are low on money. Liz is told Witherstone of Marcus, a founder of the society, they can rent the house to keep some income coming in. It changes all the meetings of the life of each character in the book. Piers and Ginny, with her boyfriend Duncan to move around the house. Liz and her daughter Alice Jonathan hiding in the garage of the house and eventually became friends with the group. Anthea, wife of Marcus, is an intelligent woman, who is bent on obtaining the son of a scholarship to the University. Marcus has to juggle more secrets. In fact, one way or another, every character has a secret garder.Comme I have already said, none of the characters were as sympathetic. Liz was annoying from the start was shallow Marcus, Alice has been shown as a bratty teenager and sticky Ginny was good at first, but becomes almost unbearable at the end. The end of history that was not satisfying. It seemed abrupt and incomplete. But because I do not really care for the characters it was difficult for me to, or other root of the urge to read about them. So I certainly do not feel that “a desirable residence” Madeleine Wickham is the best, but it is certainly not the worst book I read. Rating: 5.3

Let’s say I read “a desirable residence for months. The book does not really train for the finish. I had other books and simply wanted to put it read more tard.Je really to love this book is the idea so well. . . But there are just not caught my attention. I think my least favorite character is Alice, the teenager is to be read as boring, I find myself just about to go the book and sleep. I wish I could give a better view, but I did not feel compelled or interested enough to finish. Rating: 5.3
